Spirit Animals: Dove and Reindeers
By Desiree Snow
A Christmas time. Tis the season to be jolly and all that. And you’d probably be thinking, this girl is going to write about doves. Doves and Santa’s reindeers. I mean, what else is there, right? Right!
So for this article, I’m going to tell you about Doves and Reindeers. Let’s start with doves:
DOVE
Doves are a Christmas symbol because they signify peace. In the bible, doves were the animals that brought back the olive branch which signified that the flood was over. They signified that God’s promise has been fulfilled. And since Christmas is a celebration of Jesus Christs birth which is also a celebration of another one of God’s promise being fulfilled.
If you have ever seen a dove lately, be it in dreams or while you were awake, it is a reminder that you must take flight and soar. Be confident that your wings, your abilities, will be able to take you to where you want to go.
How do you know if Dove’s are your spirit animal? Doves are gentle and giving creatures. They have a sense of innocence and attract others around them. If any of these traits apply to you, then the Dove might be your spirit animal.
DOVES symbolism: joyous home, life filled with love, tranquillity, pleasure, security, loyalty, love, simplicity.
REINDEER
Reindeers have a very strong association with the holidays. They are Santa’s preferred animal to pull his magical sleigh.
Reindeers as a spirit animal would remind us of how they should stay on track and focus on your goals. Much like how the reindeer’s goal is to get Santa to all the houses of every good boy and good girl, you should also focus on accomplishing your task.
People who have reindeers as their spirit animal are social creatures and are born leaders. Always open to new opportunities, they are also quite flexible creatures who are willing and eager to explore.
And there you have it. The Christmas spirit animals explained. I hope that if they visit you this holiday season, that they bring you good news and positive change. Happy Holidays!
