December is coming! And we all know what we're looking forward in December, don't we? That's right - it's Christmas! And one thing we don't ever miss in Christmas is our tasty Christmas feast!
In this article, I've prepared a simple, rich chocolate truffle pie. Some people don't cook their Christmas dinners because they find it complicated, but this dessert is super easy to make and I guarantee you'll all love it!
Ingredients:
12 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
1/4 cup sifted confectioners' sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 (9 inch) prepared chocolate cookie crumb crust
Instructions:
1) In microwave dish combine chocolate chips and 1/2 of the cream. Cook on high for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth. Cool to room temperature. Stir in sugar & vanilla. Set aside.
2) In small bowl, beat the rest of the cream until soft peaks form. Beat in chocolate mixture on high speed 1/3 at a time. mix well and spoon into crust.
3) Refrigerate at least 8 hours before serving.
There, all done! Of course, some people might not like to buy the pie crust, but for others, making the crust uses a lot of time and effort, so it will be better for them. For others who want to make their own pie crusts, you can use crushed vanilla wafers and melted butter, pressed into a baking tin.
Wasn't that easy? I can promise you a sense of triumph and success once you finish the pie and and start tasting the heavenly flavors and textures. Last but not the least, Merry Christmas, and happy baking!
