From the depths of the Wizarding World, where special desserts slither and swirl, comes a treat that's quite fantastical, a frozen treat so magical. Nothing strange or odd about it, for good old ice cream is a hit! Cold and sweet, the best summer treat!
Hi there friends, it's Katie_slytherin here, with another addition of 'Chatting With . . . '! This month we are getting the real scoop with ice cream delights. Ice cream is a beloved treat in both the Muggle and Wizarding worlds. That just goes to show you that ice cream is the best of every world!
Katie: Good day SOUP readers, let's give a warm welcome to our interviewee of the month -Grasshopper! Thank you for coming here to chat with us about the wonders of ice cream. Now, first things first, what is your favourite flavour of ice cream?
Liv: Plain simple vanilla. I'm a simple creature haha.
Katie: Woooooooo!!!! Another vanilla lover! That's my favourite flavor as well! High five! This interview is off to a great start already. Do you like hard scoop or soft serve better?
Liv: Soft serve.
Katie: Ahhhhh, and here is where we divide, though I wouldn't turn down a soft serve if offered one! What toppings do you put on your icecream?
Liv: I love putting cut up fruit on my icecream.
Katie: Ooooo interesting, I've never tried that before! My go-to is rainbow sprinkles, I'm pretty classic. There are some really exotic ice cream flavours out there though! What is the most interesting flavour you have ever tried or heard of?
Liv: Lichi flavoured! Never got to try it, but it sounds awesome.
Katie: Maybe this year you'll be able to try it! I've seen some fun flavor names such as purple cow. Moving on, another important part of ice cream is the cone! Do you prefer waffle cones, sugar cones, or plain cones?
Liv: I don't really like cones, honestly. I just use a bowl.
Katie: Gasp! No cone?! How curious! Well, let's move back to ice cream then. If you could invent a new icecream falvour, what would it be?
Liv: It might already exist, but apple and cinnamon could be a fun flavour.
Katie: I could see that being a yummy flavour! It makes me think of apple crisp a-la-mode. How about other forms of ice cream, what are your thoughts on icecream cake?
Liv: Fantastic. I love icecream cake just as much as cheesecake. They're my two favourites.
Katie: And before we continue, when is the last time you had icecream???
Liv: Two days ago at my friend's house.
Katie: An acceptable answer, we shall continue then. What other frozen treats do you enjoy?
Liv: Homemade yogourt popsicles.
Katie: A healthier alternative, nice choice! Oh, here's a fun question- have you ever made ice cream yourself before?
Liv: Yup! My family makes homemade icecream with all sorts of flavours.
Katie: Wow, that's so cool! Maybe you could invite me over for an ice cream making night? Well, it seems our interview together is coming to an end, before you go, do you have any special ice cream memories you would like to share with us?
Liv: One time, when I was younger, like 1st grade, I had a Star Wars themed birthday party and my mom bought this really nice icecream cake with a Star Wars print. Had the time of my life!
Katie: Themed cakes are always a lot of fun! Hmmm, I wonder if we could get a SOUP themed cake?. . . Well, that wraps up this month's edition of Chatting With. . . Thank you all for stopping by and thank you Grasshopper for chatting with us!
Until I reemerge from my cave again, this is goodbye from your favourite totally bad evil scary sockeh Slytherin!
