Letter from the Editor
by Deidra
Dear Slytherin, So, I'm writing to you amidst several paintings and photographs of none other than Gilderoy Lockhart. I'm not sure when -or how- it happened, but it appears that he has commandeered the paper this month. I mean, I guess if Pansy can do it, so can he, I suppose. Everything is lavender and periwinkle blue and I'm dying -of joy, of course. Flowers and autographed photos of him are everywhere. And that stupid, er, I mean stupidly charming smile of his follows me everywhere I go. He's perfectly cheery all the time, and the change of pace is certainly keeping my staff on their toes. The bonus is that with him in charge, I'm free to spend my days napping in my office, staying well out of the way.
If I'm not napping, I'm out enjoying all of the not-snowy weather. My sneakers and I have had a very happy reunion, and my sad, hole-ridden boots are just about ready to get kicked to the curb. Spring has sprung and I am ridiculously happy about it. Sure, it means my spring allergies are about to kick up, but at least it'll be warm and snow-free right? Pollen is way better than 6 feet of snow. Way better, trust me. I can take a pill to deal with pollen, I can't take a pill to make the snow go away.
Oh, I was skimming through this months articles, and Sam has a full report on the Lockhart takeover, and Lockhart himself has an article this month. Leo had a really, really great report on different types of tea, and I was fascinated. Very informative, and makes me appreciate my morning cup of tea a wee bit more. Yes, Pansy has corrupted me. I drink tea instead of coffee now, so weird.
Speaking of Pansy, she's taking a much needed break from work. Being the best advice giver in the wizarding world is hard work. I'm setting up a special trip to somewhere tropical so she can just get away from everything for a while. She deserves it! In the mean time, famed Slytherin Draco Malfoy will be filling in for Pansy again, and that will certainly be a delight. Draco and Lockhart, we have quite the celebrity filled issue, don't we? Well, I sure hope you enjoy it. That's all I have to report from the Editor's office.
Much Love and Happy Spring!!
